Spending More Time With The Wife!
Have you ever had a moment of realising you’ve turned into a complete stranger, someone you barely even recognise? The first hint was when my wife stopped making my dinner. She said I was never around to eat it with her, what was the point, she said. The second was when she cancelled a business meeting I had on a Saturday without even telling me, and put me in a taxi that rolled up at a place that was definitely not where the meeting had been planned. It was Shire Hotels, a kind of weekend break place that does spa breaks and the like – the kind of stuff she’s always trying to get me to go on. I guess I kind of ignored why it was so important to her in the first place.
So I went, and had a serious break through about my life. But that’s not what this blog is about. I want to promote the merits of relaxation, and getting away, and the things that really matter in life, and the people who really matter. I guess I’m lucky to have had that chance to get away on one of these spa breaks my wife is always trying to get me to go on. I thought it was just silly stuff for women, mainly. But it was really good to go to one. Good for me, and the wife.
